Damián Romero se inició en el medio de la música hace 14 años, participando en proyectos acústicos conjuntos con otros músicos. Desde entonces ha trabajado en múltiples actividades y ha desarrollado conocimientos dentro de los medios de comunicación.Después de trabajar un tiempo en la televisión, se integra al proyecto multidisciplinario Noiselab, estableciendo la primer plataforma organizada para la música electrónica en México. En el año 2001 finaliza el periodo de trabajo con Noiselab y crea una nueva plataforma colectiva llamada IMECA, proyecto conformado por un sello discográfico, productora, management de artistas nacionales e internacionales en México y el exterior, diseño gráfico y servicios de marketing y comunicación.
IMECA ha introducido a múltiples artistas en México, abriendo canales reales de comunicación y ha sido una pieza fundamental para una nueva generación de artistas con nuevas propuestas que no forman parte de la ola comercial. Hoy dia, el festival de IMECA celebra su 4ta edición.
En el 2003 Damián inicia un nuevo proyecto: el Festival MUTEK México, presentando por primera vez en el país un evento de magnitud artística internacional y convocatoria masiva, exponiendo a las propuestas más relevantes y de propuesta de la nueva electrónica mundial.
Es copropietario de la tienda más pro-positiva de discos de la ciudad de México, DISCOTECA, así como comprador y creativo de la misma.
Detrás de las tornamesas, el espectro de su selección es un mundo de pastiches y géneros diversos en búsqueda del eclecticismo y la variación de estilos, revisando constantemente temas nuevos y clásicos de la pista de baile. Martín es uno de los Dj’s más reconocidos a nivel nacional e internacional, ha sido una pieza clave en el desarrollo de la escena electrónica mexicana, pues fué uno de los introductores del movimiento electrónico en México, es un DJ que no ha dejado de evolucionar en su trayectoria artística, es una de las figuras más significativas, sólidas y confiables de la escena mexicana. Su irrefrenable curiosidad por la música electrónica, en todas sus formas, lo mantiene informado de lo que sucede en las pistas de baile del mundo. Asistir a una noche con él tras las tornamesas es la oportunidad de bailar por horas y también una puesta al día en música. Ha participado en los mejores festivales como: ACA WORLD SOUND FEST , UNION FEST, FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL CERVANTINO, VIVE LATINO, ECOSISTEMA Y TECHNOGEIST / LOVE PARADE 2000-2003, entre otros, Así mismo se presenta contínuamente en los mejores clubs y eventos en todo el país; ha tenido presentaciones en Chile, Costa Rica, U.S.A., Canadá, Inglaterra, España, Brasil y Francia. Ha compartido escenario con importantes dj's y músicos del extranjero como: Paul Van Dyk, Oakenfold, Sasha, Digweed, Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Tenaglia, Moby, DJ Hell, Ricardo Villalobos, Sven Vath, Miss Kittin, Fatboy Slim, DJ Tiësto, Basement Jaxx y Tiga, por citar sólo algunos. En febrero de 2007 en la entrega de premios DJ AND CLUBBING AWARDS organizada por la revista DJ CONCEPT, Martín fué galardonado en la categoría DJ DEL AÑO para el período 2006-2007. Este premio fué otorgado a través de votación abierta al público. Actualmente Martín es considerado el DJ de música electrónica más reconocido y popular de México.
Miskate @ Bar americas (14 Agosto 2008)
Miskate is Kate Iwanowicz. Originally a Pittsburgh dj, she held down various residencies in that area. She received a degree in anthropology (and a minor in music) at University of Pittsburgh, where she also participated in a gamelan ensemble. Her interests in sound began at a young age: first playing violin, then piano, then guitar, now sample-based electronics (often incorporating her own singing voice among other found sounds). Her regular bookings playing deep, minimal house and techno encouraged her move to Philadelphia in summer 2001. After relocating, she had taken responsibilities as co-organizer of both the Pitchspork monthly (hosting names like Magda, Matthew dear, Sammy Dee, Geoff White, Jeff Milligan and others) and the Foundsound record label. Her production debut came in may 2004 with the release of "rip it cookie muenster" (foundsound01). Since then, Miskate hammered out eps for Foundsound, Microcosm, Alphahouse, Roman-Photo, Karloff, Einmaleins and plenty more to come.

Bruno Pronsato @ Bar americas (19 Junio 2008)
Seattle producer Bruno Pronsato (aka Steven Ford) took several giant steps in 2005 toward the peak of the experimental techno mountain. Both on vinyl and onstage, Pronsato kept up a hectic pace of production and performance, catalyzing listeners and crowds in Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, Mexico, throughout the United States, and a triumphant set at Montreal’s Mutek festival. Twelve-inches on esteemed labels like Orac, Musique Risquée, Milnor Modern, Philpot, and Telegraph further elevated his stature and built his international fan base.
A sound scientist whose work is equally playful and rigorous, Pronsato deploys a canny use of space and idiosyncratically fashioned rhythms to disorient and build suspense—like some 21st-century Miles Davis or Eric Dolphy of the laptop. Despite being a minimal-techno artist, Pronsato offers a palette that’s as full of unexpected patterns and meticulously rendered textures as a Wassily Kandinsky painting.
Pronsato’s compositions unsettle in original ways, yet they also slyly tickle funnybones. Often both humorous and erotic, his cuts are the wild cards that adventurous DJs pull out when they want to take the dance floor to strange new levels of motion. Therefore, Pronsato’s releases have become elite selectors’ secret weapons of beguilingly baffling quirkiness that still move asses.
Unsurprisingly, 2006 is promising to be as eventful as last year. As demand for his music has waxed, Pronsato has accordingly increased his productivity while maintaining his usual exacting quality control standards. March will bring Pronsato’s debut 12 for Hello? Repeat while summer 2006 will see EPs issued by Orac and Telegraph (watch for the last two editions of the four-part Limeworks series), plus another collaboration with Argentinean Franco Cinelli for Milnor Modern (Picaro, their first joint effort from late ’05, contains some of Pronsato’s most flavorful club bangers). A temporary residence in Holland will enable Pronsato to spend even more time in 2006 devastating European audiences with his uniquely psychedelic and funky techno live sets.
Matthew Dear @ Bar americas (31 Julio 2008)
You could throw around generous descriptors and any number of genre-locking terms “electronic pop, minimal house, acid techno“ but you’d still fail to get to the center of Matthew Dear. With releases under no fewer than three aliases, including False (M_NUS), Jabberjaw (Perlon), and Audion (Spectral Sound), the Texas native has earned his international status over the course of a decade, getting his bearings on the DJ decks as a teenager to flooring sold-out crowds at venues like Fabric, and releasing universally praised original productions.
After meeting Ghostly founder Sam Valenti IV at a house party in the late 90s, Dear eventually produced the A-Side for the label’s first 12” release, Hands Up for Detroit. Since then, Dear issued his pop-infused debut album Leave Luck to Heaven and its counterpart Backstroke, which caught mainstream attention, as well as myriad releases under his club-oriented pseudonyms (including the omnipresent, chart-topping “Mouth to Mouth” as Audion). Further accomplishments include requests from the Postal Service and Hot Chip for his remix skills, and incessant touring with constantly evolving DJ sets and live performances. He’ll still tell you that his greatest pleasure is a quiet day of fishing, but with the release of his sophomore full-length, Asa Breed, and his live band US/Euro tour as Matthew Dear’s Big Hands, it”s clear that Dear has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.
JB (London, Uk) @ Bar americas (6,7 Junio)
One of the unsung heroes of underground dance culture in the UK, JB is the oil that keeps the party machine rocking in London and beyond. The tech-house stalwart is resident at Jaded at The Egg, the after-hours that has revolutionised Sunday clubbing in London, Wax at 93 Feet East also the evermore popular Retox Night at Sosho and weekly at the new 54 club on Commercial St. A regular at New York’s ubercool Sullivan Rooms, JB’s skills behind the decks have also taken him from Ibiza to Eastern Europe and to the UK’s major festivals, including Glastonbury and Global Gathering. An instrumental part of the Eukatech family, he helped the label pull off some of there best warehouse parties and is also heavily involved in the Micro-climate wicked woodland raves in West London. Some said it couldn’t be done… and JB proved them wrong. “With a background steeped in the free rave era, JB is just as pivotal to the party scene of the here and now.” Lesley Wright, Editor, DJmag JB plans to breathe new life into his dance labels - Dance Wicked (soulful house) and MES Records (deep through tech-house) - this year. Look out for Blaze single ‘How Deep Is Your Love’, remixed by Azad & the Stir15 crew, tipped to be a Spring smash on Dance Wicked through Word and Sound. And be sure to check the ‘Chris Udoh EP’ and ‘100 Hz EP’ for freakoid deep tech floor shaking action on MES. On the production front, JB & Veronski’s mix of Tim Sheridan & Smokin’ Jo’s ‘Nastydirtysexmusic’ has been carving up dancefloors - prompting Tim Sheridan to rate it better than the original! “I was pleasantly surprised to find JB a wonderfully deep and driving spinner of wax. This led to a most welcome remix that I consider my favourite ever done to my material. He’s a real swell fella too…” Tim Sheridan, Nastydirtysexmusic There is also a forthcoming JB & Veronski EP due out in May 2006 on the Eukatech Imprint that big things are expected of. The non-stop party machine has yet another card to play in coming months. Together with old mate and DJ chum Darren Roach, JB will be launching new label and club Electronicbodymovement in October. Both label and club - which will invade The Egg and other venues on monthly Sat nights - will be tuned into “the best electronic music with an unexpected twist”. “Some people say I play electro, others techno or tech-house,” says JB. “Whatever you wanna call it, I know good music and I just wanna play great music that makes people dance like crazy.” It’s this open-minded and versatile approach that has seen JB DJ with the world’s top jocks, from Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford, Kerri Chandler, Derrick May and Terry Francis to Layo & Bushwacka!, Mr C and Hipp-e & Halo (H-Foundation). And it’s his attitude that makes him a favourite with underground party people.
Guido Schneider (Poker Flat, Berlin) @ Bar americas (Jueves 29 Mayo 2008)
Guido Schneider has been producing electronic music since the early 90’s. Strongly influenced by "EBM“ he started his first project with a friend in 1991 with releases on SPV.In 1995 he founded his own Label "Neue Welten“ based in Celle, Germany. In 1996 he moved to Berlin where he began to fully focus on music. His productions and co-productions (e.g. as "Schneider & Radecki“ with Sammy Dee) always sounded sort of minimal, but were also exceptionally functional as he dared to stick his head out of his soundlab at an early stage. This together with the experiences from various live performances helped to perfect his tracks.
Changes marked the beginning of the new millennium: Guido closed down his label "Neue Welten” and met vocalist Florian Schirmacher. After the first joint studio sessions it became obvious that Guido‘s production and Florian‘s vocal skills would complement each other perfectly and together they founded the project Glowing Glisses, under whose pseudonym they released 3 singles and the album "Silver Surfer“ on Poker Flat. Inspired by the addition of Florian‘s vocals as an instrument to his music, Guido felt that he was almost able to realize his musical ideas for the first time. The fascination that emanates from "Silver Surfer“ is based on the contrast between Florian‘s warm harmonic vocals and Guido‘s bleepy, minimal and subtle productions.
In 2002 Guido and Glowing Glisses joined Steve Bug, Märtini Brös and Martin Landsky on the Poker Flat World Tour. Back in Germany, highly inspired, Guido began focusing on his solo project "Guido Schneider“. His first Poker Flat single "Triple Bolted“ (pfr35) and the track "Moved“ showed Guido’s huge potential.
Two 12“s followed in 2004: "Unterwegs mit Guido Schneider“ (pfr47, including a fantastic remake of "Moved“) and "Oh My Buffer“ (pfr53). These two 12“s finally put Guido on the map of internationally acclaimed producers. Guido was also Steve Bug‘s first choice to remix his unstoppable classic "Loverboy“ for Poker Flat‘s 50th anniversary release. With his remix of B.’s “Minikool” he ended an extremely successful year 2004. In 2005 Guido first contributed the exclusive track ”Las Cuerdas de Las Canarias” to the "Poker Flat Volume Four“ album, alongside artists such as Steve Bug, Donnacha Costello, Argy and Jeff Samuel.
To help the victims of the tragic events in Asia, Guido Schneider & Andre Galluzzi supported the Tsunami charity compilation, “Survivor” was an exclusive track on Tuning Spork’s Tsunami Benefit CD.
In the first half of 2005 he continued his success with more excellent remixes including Dub Kult’s “On & On”, which went on to become one of this Ibiza season’s hottest tracks, the hypnotic vocal and Guido’s trademark baseline ringing in the head of clubbers, not only in Ibiza – re-appearing on many compilations accordingly.
Remixes of 2Dawg’s “It’s A Dawgs Life“ (Mood Music) Daniel Stefanik’s “Move Me“ (Moon Harbour) and Brtschitsch & Galluzzi’s “Regenschauer” (on Taksi, his close friend Andre Galluzzi’s label) followed, maintaining his high quality throughout, once more proving his status as an incredible producer.
After this long period of remix-productions, in September “Earthbrowser”, his first solo EP in a while was released on Jay Haze’s Tuning Spork, rotating in clubs around the world with the extremely funky, pounding and atmospheric tracks. Returning a favour to his friend Toxic, Guido then contributed a remix to Five T.’s “Graale”, to be released on Berlin’s Freizeitglauben label.
Recently, Gudio joined forces with his old friend Sammy Dee (Pantytec) again, with whom he had worked years ago as Schneider & Radecki. The result of this reunion was the Clubcharts and Dancefloors ruling Poker Flat 12” “Styleways” (pfr63), which also was licensed to Richie Hawtin’s „Transitions“ album (Mute).
Under the moniker “Motoguzzi”, Guido also remixed Easy Woman, actually a re-remix since it’s based on a track remixed by Musik Krauses’ Robag Wruhme. This one was released on the first compilation of Berlin’s legendary Berghain Club (Ex-Ostgut), mixed and compiled by his friend Andre Galuzzi. 2006 will also see his first remix on Richie Hawtin’s Minus label, remixing Plastikman himself on the “Panikattack” 12”.
As a DJ and producer of international demand, Guido Schneider currently tours top clubs around the world.
The new album „Focus On: Guido Schneider“ features the next milestone in Guido’s career. It includes some of his best released tracks and mixes as well as his brand new songs and gives an exciting overview of his capabilities.

Stealth is an upcoming Dj from Mexico City, he started DJing at the age of 17, a real music digger, always looking for fresh and futuristic sounds he stays aside from trendy selections still trying to keep things underground, his sound is the result of a mixture between Tech House, Techno and Breakbeat, he has shared the stage with Mexico’s finest Dj’s and some foreign imports while playing in almost every mayor club dedicated to electronic music promotion around his country. In 2006 he started to work with Pioneer Pro Dj being the image for the EFX-1000 in Mexico since. His actual performances include x3 Pioneer’s CDJ-1000, x1 Pioneer’s DJM-800 and x1 Pioneer’s EFX-1000, that way he can manipulate music more in a free way, this includes micro and macro sampling, noises, scratching, live remixing, etc.
He’s 24 right now and he have just introduced "No Boundaries", his own talent management agency, dedicated to promote Mexico’s most talented and upcoming Dj’s.
His dedication and superb technique on the decks have gained him the respect of most of the biggest names in the industry around Mexico and some other countries around the planet, still he promises to present his first EP around the first half of 2008, being this just the beginning.

Nacido en el norte de California, Daniel Wang pasó 8 años de su infancia en Taiwán, regresó a la escuela secundaria de California, y asistió a la universidad de Nueva York y Chicago. Instead of finishing his papers, however, he ran out to underground clubs and danced all night to early house music and disco classics, befriending and learning from a few old-school voguers and DJs along the way. Una excelente linea de bajos se hizo presente, durante la presentacion de Someone Else este pasado 3 de abril en bar americas, teniendo una buena respuesta y un manejo de la situacion como mejor lo sabe hacer este gran productor.

Luis Ortiz es el encargado de los sellos discográficos Klitekture, Sinergy Networks y Calima
Klitekture records fue creado en 2001 en Gran Canaria y es su sello mas mimado que cuenta con artistas como sutekh, mikael stavostrand, deadbeat, johan skugge, tomas jirku, tonne, pep gaya, lowfour y el propio LOD dedicados a producir musica clicky para mentes minimales bajo un formato bastante conceptual sostenido por un ritmo 4x4 y adornado con todo tipo de clicks, crackles y texturas glitch, muchos de estos artistas son hoy en dia iconos de la musica electronica con un sonido muy unico y personal.
Krater es la ultima incorporacion a la escuderia de klitekture, esta banda creada por Luis Ortiz es un proyecto basado en la construccion de ambientes de las islas canarias usando instrumentos tradicionales y elementos naturales que son posteriormente digitalizados. Su primer album he recibido numerosas criticas de organizaciones de renombre como vital weekly, cyclefrost, beat (traxx), sonar, qwartz awards. En el futuro proximo klitekture continuara produciendo referencias mas experimentales cominadas con las referencias de vinilo mas enfocadas a las pistas mas elitistas
Sinergy Networks es un netlabel desarrollado en barcelona en 2004 que esta basado en la teoria de la sinergia la cual afirma que la suma del trabajo de dos personas por separados es menor que a la suma de sus trabajos en conjunto. Las referencias son colaboraciones entre artistas compartiendo archivos, estructuras, ideas usando ultimas tecnologias como internet o rewire evitando asi barreas de distancia, tiempo y distribucion. Despues de mas de 4 años de trabajo y mas de 50 referencias publicando material de artistas desconocidos sinergy-networks ha contribuido al descubrimiento de grandes talentos como Franco Cinelli, Barem, Sarah Goldfarb, Bern, Tupperwear, Funzion, etc. En septiembre de 2007 LOD publicara su album ¨level of detail ¨que sera la referencia numero 50 y que vendra seguido de una serie de remezclas de artistas como Xpansul, Franco Cinelli, Agaric, Jussy Pecka, Pheek, Mikael stavostrand, etc algunas de estas seran publicadas en vinilo que junto a una cancion de LOD no incluida en la referencia digital formaran el primer vinilo de una serie que sinergy-networks presentara en un futuro proximo para mostrar el trabajo de artistas que han estado apoyando e inspirando este proyecto
Su ultimo proyecto Calima, es un sello que comparte referencias en formato vinilo y digital se basa en un sonido tambien minimal pero mucho mas encarado hacia el baile con sonidos mas frescos y organicos . Calima es una capa seca, caliente y polvo de la atmósfera que sobrepone el aire superficial más fresco del Océano Atlántico y representa el calor sonoro venidero a la organización compuesta por klitekture y sinergy-networks originarios de las Islas Canarias, una zona afectada por este clima. La primera referencia esta compuesta por Luis Ortiz Y gregory shiff para establacer las bases de este nuevo rpoyecto que sera continuado por referencias de artistas reconocidos y nuevos talentos
LOD ha publicado en sellos como realjoke o minus_n de Japon, Mosferry, Eintakt and Thinnerism de Alemania, Antmanuv de Canada, Modelisme de Francia, Fragment de Rusia Originario de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Islas Canarias) ha pasado buena parte de su vida en el extranjero entre Londres, Dublín, Boston, Los Angeles y Barcelona, actualmente vive en Berlin consolidando los projectos y las ideas con las que llego a la ciudad. LOD fue nominado en 2005 por los premios qwartz de Paris en dos diferentes categorias y en 2006 con su otra nominacion se convierte en uno de los pocos artistas nominados en diferentes años por lo que fue invitado a actuar con su proyecto Krater en la ceremonia de los premios qwartz donde atistas muy releventes de la escena como Bjork o Mathew herbert fueron invitados
Su musica ha sido apoyada por numerosos artistas reconi¡ocidos como Jeff Milligan, Someone ese o Ellen alien quien ha colocado en los charts y ha tocado la remezcla de LOD a pep gaya en la referencia numero 7 de klitekture en varios eventos , uno de ellos fue en radio Frabric para presentar su proximo CD de Fabric
Luis Ortiz ha actuado en los principales festivales en España como OBESERVATORI 2004 , SONAR 2003 y 2006 ( donde realizo un set memorable despues de Tiga para cerrar el festival ) y en otros a nivel internacional como TIME WARP en Alemania siendo el primer artista español en actuar para esta prestigiosa productora. Utiliza el seudonimo de LOD para sus producciones mas minimal y experimentales mientras que mantiene su nombre Luis Ortiz para sus trabajos mas orientados al baile.
Sus sesiones como DJ se caracterizan por la energia que transmite a los eventos mientras que sus actuaciones en directo se centran mas en la experimentación. Ha compartido cabina con los artistas mas importantes de su genero y se siente muy comodo actuando en eventos con diferentes tipo de intensidades sean festivales mas modernos o clubs dado el abanico tan amplio de posibilidades con los que cuenta su repertorio que va desde el minimal mas sonico hasta un techno serio obscuro y contundente para la pista.
Argenis Brito @ Bar americas (8 Mayo 2008)
Argenis Brito, venezolano radicado en Berlin y Chile, es parte de las aventuras del Sr. Coconut (Uwe Schmidt), junto con el ex Prisioneros Jorge González y con Pier Bucci armó Mambotour, electrónica con raigambre en la música latinoamericana. Otros de sus alias compartidos:‘The Basstards’ con Jay Haze y Jamming Unit
‘Bearback’ con Jay Haze y Samim.
En 2006 bajo su nombre realizó su primer trabajo individual Sentidos Opuestos y en breve, verá la luz el EP Micro Mundo, por el sello Cadenza.
Pier Bucci @ Bar americas (10 Abril 2008)
Si te gustan Villalobos o Luciano, Pier Bucci debe ser tu nuevo chileno favorito. Sus primeras producciones pueden rastrearse en la compilación Austral del sello chileno Ruta 5. En 1999 se alía con su amigo Daniel Nieto para crear el proyecto Skipsapiens con el que graban un Cd, Skipsapiens en el sello belga U-Cover. De hecho, Pier Bucci trabaja en pareja casi tanto como en solitario, por ejemplo, con Argenis Brito desarrolla en Santiago de Chile el proyecto Mambotur ejerciendo labores de dignificación de la música electrónica con sabor latino muy en la onda Señor Coconut.
También ha trabajado con el susodicho Lucien -N-Luciano en el grupo Monne Automme con Argenis Brito ejerciendo de tercera pata en varios maxis y un L.P. grabado en 2001 pero editado en 2004, Introducing Light & Sound, para Lo-Fi Stereo (sello donde Villalobos grabó su 12'', 808 The Bassqueen). En solitario, Pier Bucci ha visto publicados sus tracks y remixes en labels como Crosstown Rebels, Cadenza o Multicolor Recordings. En 2005 publicó su primer álbum Familia precisamente en el sello británico Crosstown Rebels gracias a que el díscolo Damian Lazarus siempre está abierto a todo aquello que huele a hit.
Lo de Bucci en Familia tiene un trasfondo IDM de mediados de los noventa que no sólo adorna su micro-house, si no que le aporta un calado que le mantiene en una buena senda artística.
